Either / Or

A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight. Proverbs 11:1

Pro 11:20 They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the LORD: but such as are upright in their way are his delight. Proverbs 11:20

Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight. Proverbs 12:22

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight. Proverbs 15:8

~We are either an abomination to the LORD or either His Delight. It is either / or.~

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Matthew 6:24

Very true, but it is important to put this into the context of grace.

This is often hard for the Christian because our two natures are at war with each other. Sometimes I almost feel like I'm schizofrenic because of the constant warfare between my flesh and the Holy Spirit.

what would I do without you ;)

I think it's something we all struggle with. The heart is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Paul struggles the same in Romans 7.

    Yep -- Matthew 26:41 and Mark 14:38.

*laughs* Sorry, Sarah... I couldn't resist. At home I am known as the spelling and grammar police. Might have something to do with English being my minor.

to all my fellow believers, Satan has just tried dropping another bomb on Christianity. If you have not yet heard, the Da Vinci Code movie is out. It is a book/movie out to undermine CHrist and HIs ministry. I am not advising you to read the book...but research about it and learn what it says and why that is wrong. I think that GOd has just given us a new opportunity to witness to others. Many people may not be interested in the BIble, but may like this fiction story. I think that we can use it to further Christ's message. It is so easy to refute what that book says and through that be able to present a clear image of the truth. Isn't it wonderful when God uses what Satan means for evil, and changes it for His own plan and purpose?....
