Dental appointment

I have a dentail appointment this morning. I hate to go the dentist. I wonder why did God give us teeth that fall off. I wish he had just created the teeth like every other bone of our body that does not need maintenance. I mean you have your skeleton, and that's it. Why couldn't the teeth be that way.

Until last year I avoided going to the dentist for six years.

I thought I would have to have six fillings and a few teeth removed.

Actually, they were fine, just very badly stained.

For some reason my teeth get stained really easily. Must be too much black coffee and strogn tea.

I don't think anyone enjoys going to the dentist, but we have to.

Matthew, if you were here, we would offer some good Costa Rican coffee that my mom brought back from her trip.

I just finished a cup! Yum.

That sounds very nice. At home I almost always drink instant coffee. That is why I mostly drink tea at home.

I usually drink coffee at cafes, though.

I love coffee! My brother, David, is a wine connoisseur. I'm the coffee connoisseur of the family.

Leila, when did you go to Costa Rica? Sounds like fun. I'd really like to go to some tropical place and walk barefoot on the beach.

Are Texas beaches no good for going barefoot, then?

What are TExas beaches like anyways? I'm used to California "lying in the sun and surfing the waves" type beaches...

    Carey,
I went to Costa Rica late in January on a business trip. You can read up on some of my adventures in the January archives.
The highlight of my trip was my trip to the rain forest and Arenal volcano. There is a beautiful resort there, and you can actually spend a day in the hot water falls that are generated by volcanic eruptions amist beautiful rain forest. The resort is very well equipped for tourists. The entry ticket per person including an excellent buffet lunch amounts to $43.-
I did not stay at the hotel there. Some tourists buy the package including a hotel stay. The resort is about three hours drive from San Jose. I went there with office colleagues, and we did the whole trip back and forth in one day.

The scenery going there is stunning.

There are wild rain forest activities for the younger generation (I guess) like moneky jumping from tree to tree and lots of other things.

    Worth visiting, trust me.
